The
Hotel
As
soon as I step into the hotel, immediately I smell the light sweet scent of lilies
and feel the genuine 5-star palace, mostly because of the elegant
atmosphere and luxurious decor which invites you to relax and unwind.
This
is a first class hotel with excellent service in an old town of Riga
and an exquisite property with the perfect location, no wonder about
the fact that The Grand Palace Hotel has been voted as Latvia'sLeading Hotel for 8 years.
If
you are looking for a luxurious, welcoming stay in Riga, look no
further.
The
Staffs
The
staff were very welcoming, friendly and were only too pleased to help
us. Always a smile and a happy outlook. They could not be more
helpful or attentive.
Our Suite & Bathroom
We
stayed in a wonderful Deluxe Suite King, so well presented throughout
which very impressed us.
This
suite has some fantastic pluses: the bed was comfortable, room was
perfectly cleaned and equipped. I was also pleased to see the iPod
dock at my bedside table.
The
bathroom itself was incredibly generous, both in space and features.
I appreciate all of the amenities that has been delivered, products
from Aromatherapy Associates never let you down.
Overall the hotel
charges a premium price but offers a top notch products.
The
Breakfast
Breakfast
is extensive and complimentary, located in the Suite Restaurant which
is a spectacular art deco restaurant. The setting & design itself
is absolutely a winner.
The
breakfast was not a normal continental breakfast, but this is: fresh
and hot eggs, fresh salmon, breakfast meats, fruit galore, tons of
breads and pastries to choose from. A variation of teas, espresso,
cappuccino, milks, etc.
The
Bar & Lounge
On
the ground floor of the hotel near the lobby, there is a Pils Bar. I
love to hang around here after a long hours walking around the old
town of Riga. Beautifully furnished and decorated with interesting
artwork and hunting trophies, and the playlist of music that played
on was absolutely a great choice, big time.
